You say small but you say deep. I would let a doctor look at it for the simple fact that it is located on your head. It may not need anything but it does need a good cleaning and I'm thinking probably a stich wouldn't be bad or a small amount of packing in it.

Probably seems a bit obvious but I'd go to the hospital. Only because if it's deep enough you might not have cleaned it thoroughly enough and could get an infection. This way they can clean it really good and you might need a couple stitches, plus they might give you some good pain meds, never hurts to have a couple "percs" around.

when my dog had a cut on her ear I put hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it out. Then I put Neosporin +pain on it and in a bandage. a week later it was back to normal. U should take it to the vet if it isn't cleared up in 3 days if it is a deep cut! But 4 now u need to put just hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it!!

if the bleeding is controled then it depends how wide it is and where the cut is. if its on your scalp u may need staples, if its on your forehead dermabond (a special glue at your doctors) or butterfly band-aids will work ok. just be sure to clean it well and keep it covered. use neasporin too.
