My hair looks really great when the weather is dry. It turns into a nightmare during Summer because of humidity. Does anybody knows a product that repels humidity from your hair? Or anything that can be done to avoid that? And why is that some types of hair suffer so much with humidity while others don't?

I Straighten my hair daily and run into this problem all the time. When I am putting in my products, I mix in a few drops of infusium frizz control treatmenat. I also use Frizz Ease Winddown. Sometimes I also use Frizz ease aerosol hairspray to finish. When I walk to work in the morning I also wear a hat-this seems to pat it down a bit and keep the short pieces around my hairline down all day!

PS: Don't over condition on frizzy prone days.

I have the same problem. You can seal your hair with grease, but ultimately it just looks greasy and puffy...what hel! is this?

It's because the folicle of your hair has a strait root. When your scalp is dry, the folicle is dry and allows room for a slight bend, making your length of hair straight as you make it. When the humidity kicks in, your hair folicle expands, straightening out your root, thus making your hair curl (but maybe not all the way) and causes a 'frizzy' look.

Your best bet is to find some fun up-do's and hair accesories to make your style more fun. I'm a big fan of chinese chopsticks up-do's.

Try frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hair-Spray and use it right b4 u go out. Don't brush or comb after. I find as far as hairsprays go it works best. Will make it about 50% less poofy. Wearing it up, or in a headband/braided/twists, is always something that works best though. Sometimes, you just have to work with what you have that way. My hairs sooo curly, but I straighten it a lot. In hunidity, trust me, it sucks. It's easier to tie it back/away.
