You can but you'll just be wasting your time, prayer doesn't work.

Sure you can pray, but keep in mind God will give you your answer in many ways: such as a job for starters, a bank to save your money in and then a dealership where you can spend all the money saved. Poof! He answered your prayers! You finally got the BMW or Ferrari that you prayed for!

The gift of prayer is something that everyone has. God listens to the prayers of those who are faithful to him. So praying for a Ferrari or a BMW is your own perogative. However, you have to remember that God listens to the prayers that involve the things that we need. God will always provide what we need, not what we want. So when you pray pray from your heart, God does not listen to the prayers that we recite by rote.

you can. under what authority is the next question. there are certain christian groups that are very pro-materialism, primarily associated with southern Baptist. although they believe in praying to increase wealth, i think they also believe god helps those who help themselves. would this work for you?

on the other hand if a straight prayer for stuff type of deal is what you're really seeking, i know from personal experience that the Nichiren's (they call themselves Buddhists) used to promote themselves in just this way (in america). since being more or less disowned by the real Nichiren's in japan, these folks are now organized as soka gakkai international. you may have been approached by them, they're as bad as JWs. theirs is a special "prayer," if you would like to avoid involvement here is that "prayer," (more a chant really) repeat constantly til ya get your beemer: Nam myo ho ren ge kyo

I guess you can pray for whatever you want, but it does not mean that God is going to give it to you. I think there are a lot more things in this world that could use your prayer.

Sure you can pray for anything. But remember, it's by God's will wheather you get it or not. If He feels you need it, then that's great. But if He feels you don't need it right now, then so be it. But praying and expecting to get it within a few days or weeks is not what God wants. We have to trust Him to do what it right for us.

Of course you can! Doesn't mean you're going to get either one of them. That's like praying for a million bucks. Have you tried that? Good luck.

You can pray for anything you choose.

The idea is to THANK God....
Whatever you wish for is already there, you just don't know it yet.
Often though, God has grander ideas for us than we have for ourselves.

A fancy car will not fill the empty place inside you..... only God can fill that.

You can pray for whatever you want but why waist it on materialistic things when there is so much more you need.... He answers prays when it is time for Him to not when you want it..... Remember that to. Please don't be so shallow and caught up with materialistic things because when we past those things will not be with us....

You can pray for whatever you want. But God has the right to say 'no'.
