You're not supposed to test God because... wait... lean in for this one... it's a secret...
*whispers* ...this is the religious person's way of getting out of such silly things as 'evidence' and 'intellectual honesty'...*/whispers*
So yeah -- don't question God. In fact, don't question anything! Being a sheep is best. That's what Jesus said, right? ;)

Yes. . . someone above said that, we will not be here. No need to test. When that person tell you he is Christ and is here the second time, almost all bible reading believer will know he is not.
Anyway, for the instruction, 'don't test God', it means don't challenged God. One of the example was given by Jesus when Satan tempt him.
Satan wanted him to jump, and God had promised he will help. If Jesus or anyone indeed jump, just to see if God will help, he is testing God.
But God promised is that if we did fall, not by our own will, he will help.
Again in the New T, Paul taugh us to test every spirit. Inthis instand, the testing here is different to that in the testing God.
Testing the spirit means to look out for other characteristic of the spirit. For it may be a counter-spirit. All fruit of the spirit is a good guage.
Should you have any other question, please ask. If I know, I will help.
Hum . . . as for shameful, yes I am, for we are all sinner. But now no more, for Jesus' blood washes me clean.

Your Bible says it's okay to rape women and murder people (children included). Did you know that if you get raped, then according to the Bible, you either have to be stoned to death or marry your attacker?
Your Bible also says you can walk on water, drink any poisonous thing and not be harmed, and raise the dead. Surely you don't believe THAT?
If you take the time to actually read the Bible, it will become painfully clear that you should not test God. You should flee from him!

You have to admit, we do have some strange people who think they are the next Messiah (heck, Bono has the Messiah complex, but I can forgive him because I'm a die-hard U2 fan). And remember those Davidians over in Waco, TX. I wouldn't blame you for asking for some sort of sign. Just think "Bruce Almighty." Morgan Freeman didn't kill Jim Carey for asking for a sign, he gave him an extra two fingers, but that's about it. But I bet God is looking down on us, and is saying "Did I do that? I'll give 'em another freak Nile River accident just for kicks." I'm sure he would have some sort of sense of humor.

Mar 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
Mar 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Study to show thyself approved.

When God comes he will come in the clouds of heaven with angels before him and everyone in this universe will be able to see Him. Yes he will have a second coming but no man on this earth will be Him, you will know when it is Him, please beware of false prophets proclaiming to be Him.... read Revelations

the real second incarnation of god would never claim to be so, since these days anyone that does is regarded as crazy.also they would probably be killed out of fear if they did do something to show they were. besides, is it really important that they can do all kinds of weird ****? isn't it about the lessons that there are to learn from this person?

thoughout the bible, people have asked questions of G-d, which I assume would be like testing. Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Samson and so on, and they were still imporntant people of the bible. So maybe it's not as bad as you thing.

The Bible says "don't tempt God".
The Bible says "test the spirits".
The Bible says "He will come back the same way He ascended."
This is important stuff. Please study it for yourself and get the truth.
