Unfortunately in this society sex sells - Sex is a natural process and feeling for human beings because God made the provision for a married husband and wife to share exclusively - however because society has clued in that we are sexual beings it uses a distorted view to exploit something that was meant to be pure and chaste shared only between a man & wife that have committed themselves to one another - It's really ironic that you aksed the question because sex is advertised EVERYWHERE but no one seems to understand why the teenage pregnancy rate is at an alarming high rate...or that STDs are being spread at a ridiculous rate...go figure
Society has love confused with lust which defined is fulfilling a legitimate need in an illegitimate way. Hope this helps

Because it's not what's actually programmed into our genes. Our instincts are to find many mates to spread out the gene pool. However, I'm not all for getting rid of monogamy; if my husband ever cheated, he wouldn't have anything left to cheat with. I'm just saying that focusing on sex is natural for humans. It's not even a new thing; it goes in cycles, like in the Regency period when sex was an open topic except for virgins, then in the later Victorian era it changed around, then in the teens and twenties of the twentieth century sex was a good thing again, then after WWII we had a dry spell where sex wasn't, then it was again in the sixties, then in the seventies we got a little more prudish and went back to sex being good in the eighties, nineties and now. It's really just a society thing, not a natural part of our make-up to find sex a taboo subject.

most people know that is what sex should be, but it seems to me that mostly that is an ideal situation and how often does anyone h ave an ideal life. Christians seem to have delt with this by accepting that fact and teaching themselves how to live a life of God.
that being said turn off the TV and if enough people do that then there will be no more offenses. but The problem there is people naturaly want to see a life they cannot live.
If it makes you feel better Americans are actually very conservative about sex and that is reflected in TV. We are only intrigued by what we cannot have and that is why you see so much of this stuff on TV and in movies.
Personally it is not natural. Beind sexual is part of being a living breathing whatever we are. I could go on but sexually open are responsible people don't watch TV and especiall porn.

Well...number one....there isnt anything on TV that should'nt be there. We have the first admentment that protects free speech and freedom of expression. Its true that sometimes this expression finds itself being presented gratuitously, just for the sake of getting a little nudity or sexual innuendo into the program, because the producers know that it will make the program appealing to a larger audience. Dont forget, YOU have the power to turn that channel before that type of scene is shown. I mean, we are all smart enough to know what is "going to happen next!".
I also dont think that sex is offensive to God. After all. If you believe in God, then it only makes sense that anything that we are able to do, is, in fact , a gift from God. Its what we do DO with those gifts. I think that God would be more offended at the refusal of some people to think for themselves and to make use of his gift of freedom of choice, then someone using a beautiful woman to make a few extra dollars.

Sex is God created and given to all, for us to enjoy and have fun with. There are many forms of sex practices that can be shared and enjoyed. The Biblical flag goes up when sex includes intercourse with another.
"and the two shall become one (flesh)". Our memory, through feelings, is stored in the flesh...as is our karmic patterns which influence our destiny and what we will experience in (our) personal life. When we become "one" (flesh) with someone those are the things we will then be sharing, of that persons storehouse. We may get some stuff we didn't really wish to share at all...but we get a sharing of that persons' "stuff" just the same. That is probably why marriage is suggested, so that we live with each other since we now share each others history and destiny. Makes it a little easier don'tcha think.
Love me :)

One of the quick answers is that there is such a huge difference between the age of puberty and the age of marriage. One of our basic instincts as a human of the earth is to procreate and continue the human race. We reach sexual maturity (in an anatomical, not an emotional sense) at a time far before our society tells us that marriage is acceptable. Also, many people in the world do not believe in God, and even many of those who do believe in God find themselves overcome by their human sexual instincts.

Because there are a lot of people out there that do not believe that, and sex sells. We live in the day and age of a lot of things that shouldn't be out there. We are not in innocent times anymore. I know back 20 years ago, sex wasn't on TV at all. Times have changed- you just have to pick and choose what you watch, and what you let your children watch. It is sad.

Two problems.
Society puts a great pressure on having sex and some people feel forced into having it before they are ready.
What is faithfulness anyway, if no one wants to believe in it?
I'm not being cynical, but for many, if there is no sex in the marriage, I might as well look for it elsewhere.

God had to make sex good, or else marriage would never ever last. I believe that the intelligence we stole from the tree of knowledge has been more than a world of detriment to our submissive nature to BELIEVE GOD WHEN HE TELLS US NOT TO DO SOMETHING. We now have to live our lives battling the glorious creation of sexual desire as God intended, and the knowledge of good and evil that we stole.

Because we live in United States where 95 percent of the people are idiots and sex is the best way to get their attention.
