A whole bunch of people wrote the Bible. If you have a really good Bible, it should tell you in the beginning of each book who wrote it. But since God wasn't human (with the exception of Jesus) he worked through others to write the Bible. Your right by "All scripture is given inspiration by God." God inspired these men's heart and "told" them what to write.

as you put it, 2 Timothy 3:16 says that "all scripture is inspired of God..." Jehovah God inspired approximately 40 men to write down his thoughts, feelings, prophecies, condemnations and other things. These qualified men were inspired by God's holy spirit and wrote down all that was told to them. So the scriptures were physically written by imperfect men, but they were inspired by God himself, so in this way it is God's word.

Yes the Bible says that it is all inspired by God, and written by man. The problem with that is, that verse is also written by man. Just because something is written down in a book does not mean that it is the true thing. Belief in your God is great, but lets try to be a little more realistic.

39 or 40 men, depending on whom you believe wrote the book of Hebrews. They were inspired of God, but each retained their own personalities, writing styles, et al.

Nobody knows. The perspectives of the disciples and other believers were passed down from generation to generation until someone wrote them down. No one knows, though.
