What is your reference? It just leads to hate and misunderstanding when things like this are posted.

Because it was being done about 1800 -2000 years ago among Jews and Christians. Those moved on with times, but Muslims in some parts of Middle-east still live in that age. Not referring to Jordan, but Afghanistan and similar. And also, their religion is NOT based on forgiveness like Christian's.

For thousands of years, different laws and religions believed in things that Western society now oppose. Is it that they are not accepting of other cultures or is it that if someone is different to us they should be wrong.

I am from a Western background and do not agree to death penalties but it is still happening in America so why is it so different from this?

We just need to understand that those who are different do not want to be the same for many reasons. They even question our laws and ways so it's fair to say both are flawed.

Always, be open and learn to understand other cultures rather than belittle their ways. There is no perfect system of life.
