Besides cooking baked goods as already mentioned, I use 2 racks side by side on a large cookie sheet to cook seasoned chicken wings in the oven....cooks them better and quicker, turning them over half way through the cooking process.

I have been baking for over 30 yrs., and I've never heard of "wire rocks." Could you possibly mean wire racks? They are used to set hot-from-the-over delicacies (cookies, cakes, pies) on to cool.

i started to answer this thinking you said wire racks... that is to cool... but i have never heard of wire rocks... i wonder if they go good with wipped cream... ill have to find out later.....
