No, it does not. I think it should say: I want thank you for being my teacher this year, (This is my hand writing.) and trying to teach this year, and I hope you teach next year too.
But the main question is what are you trying to say?

It doesn't make sense to me. I would suggest writing it this way: "I thank you for being my teacher this year, I hope I can have you as my teacher next year when I am scheduled for the subject that you are so good at."

No, it does not sound right at the end. It should read "...and the teaching you did this year". Since the teacher hasn't taught next year yet, it is not correct in the sentence. Now, stop fighting!

No. Try: "And try teaching next year like you did this year." (Although if she's a good teacher, or he, s/he will by nature.) Man, as a former teacher, you have no idea how wonderful this will make him or her feel. Your teacher will never forget the gesture.

the first clause makes sense... I thank you....etc, but Im not too sure about the second clause but I do understand it though. Just rephrase the second clause. here's a suggestion.. And try teaching like you did this year for the next school year.

Write; It's been good having you for teacher this year. Keep it simple they'll like it.
