You should make sure you are not eating things that can kind of . . never run out, you know what I mean? Don't eat chips from a bag, or a bucket of popcorn. Take only what you know you should eat or what should do its fill. Otherwise it's easy to just mindlessly keep going and chomping on food just because it's there. It's like when you go to a restaurant and they give you chips. You eat the first basket but they give you another basket and even though you're full of chips, you grab another one.
Also, make sure you are focusing just on eating when you eat. Don't watch T.V. or get on the computer. These things will distract your focus from the food and again, you will mindlessly have eaten too much.

Have you tried incorporating fruits and veggies into your diet? These help by providing important vitamins and minerals. Plus, they are a great way to help you get fulled without getting to many calories.
Another thing you can do is add more water in your diet. This would include drinking water, tea, coffee, and even broth based soups. I have read many articles that said that water is a great way to help you feel fuller, again without adding lots of calories.
Hope it helps and good luck!!

You need to eat slowly and try to enjoy the flavor/texture/smell of the food. Your stomach takes like 20 minutes to send the message to your brain that you are full, so you can really overstuff.

Chew each bite, even soft stuff like mashed potatoes and pudding forty times before swallowing. This does two things.
firstly, your get full point gets reached faster.
And secondly Your jaw gets so tired of chewing that you lose your appetite sooner.
