Can and How do I get emancipated in FL?

I am turning 16 in July. My mother is good. But, my father is MENTALLY ABUSIVE. I just can't take it anymore! I want to get away from this monster that calls me stupid and says that I will never go to college blah blah blah! is that a good reason for them to get me emancipated? how would i go about doing that?

Try to hang in for a few more years. 18 is a much better age than 16. Above all continue your education. It's so important. Do NOT think of emmancipation right now, but rather INDEPENDENCE... in just a few more years.
Believe me, it will all be worth it!
