Glass-ceramic cooktops can be scratched very easily, so care must be taken not to slide the cooking pans over the surface. Pans with flat, smooth bottom surfaces create the best contact with the glass, and provide the most efficient heating. For best operation, glass, ceramic and cast iron cookware are not recommended. Did you recieve a Stove Manual? There should be proper care instructions in it........

I just recently bought a stove with a ceramic cooktop. The instructions specify what types of cookware to use. I bought a set of Meyer stainless steel, flat bottomed pots that work great on the cooktop. Cast iron and anything with a rounded bottom are not recommended. The cast iron is too heavy for the top and could damage it. Flat bottoms are better for cooking on these types of tops.

Flat bottom, I know the ones with the groove do NOT allow water to boil in em, so not very useful/
Calphalon makes very very good pots that work well on this surface.

The flatter, the better. Impact-fused heavy discs on the bottoms tend to hold and regulate heat better on any cookop.

i don't understand for effective, yet as someone who owns a form of griddles (and a gasoline range) my wager will be that it does no longer paintings o.k. because the nice and comfortable temperature move will be restricted. they gained't in wonderful condition flush with your range correct so there will be an air hollow between the interest and and griddle. and that i wager you would finally end up unfavorable your range. those issues are very heavy.
