An undeserved gift. Grace is a gift beyond comprehension that comes from the universe itself. It can be a revelation or a tremendous feeling of love or some insight that reveals the true nature of how things are. Many times it comes when you find yourself in nature or when a letting go/total relaxation happens. Grace comes undeserved but we are quite worthy to receive it. The peace, love, and clarity it brings is actually who we all are at the center. It is a self-remembering and words are almost inadequate to describe it.

Grace is Undeserved Love. Just stop for a moment and think about what that word means....

2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Let me start off with saying that grace and mercy are two different things, that is, they don't mean the same thing. I like to think of them this way: grace is receiving what you don't deserve while mercy is not receiving what you do deserve. For example, it is Father's mercy that we (His people who serve Him) don't receive of the consequence of Hell's damnation; while by Father's grace, we do receive the free give of Jesus' salvation which we don't deserve at all. Did that help?

HIlarious you should ask.. My name means, "full of grace"; of all things, I am not graceful! Hence, my now-broken foot!
Grace is the ability to hold your tongue; it's gliding into a room; it's not lashing out just because things aren't going your way...
Grace is going with the flow; I think it has a lot to do with self-confidence and manners...

Grace differs from mercy in that it is us being able to receive that which we do not deserve, i.e. Heaven! Grace is truly a Godly attribute.

Simply "unmerited favour." It is getting what you don't deserve, as opposed to mercy which is not getting what you deserve, and justice which is getting what you deserve.

In the framework of Christianity, God showed mercy by sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins so that we don't have to face the punishment for our sins (i.e. not getting what we deserve). He showed grace by making us children of God and co-heirs with Christ Himself and by dispositing Christ's righteousness into our "account" as well as giving us the Holy Spirit.

Or in another example, say you get into seriously into debt - $5 million in the red. I dunno how that could happen, but let's say you married a shop-a-holic and things got a little out of hand. The bank is going to take away your home, car, and everything else that you own, etc, etc. Anyway, you get a phone call from Bill Gates and he tells you that not only has he wiped your debt clean by paying it for you (which is mercy), he tells you to look into your bank account. So you go to the ATM and find that he has deposited $5 million in there. That is grace.

IMHO of course.

Remember when Rhett made Scarlett wear that red dress and go to Ashley's birthday party? Remember how Melanie was toward Scarlett?

That was grace.

And that was fiction and God's grace is real.

Grace means unmerited favor. It is God’s mercy given to us because God is merciful, not because we deserve it.

(Psa 51:1) Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
