Well, weight training is a very important part of getting in shape, so it would be very beneficial for you to start. However, if you choose to do it the lazy way, don't expect quick results. It's hard to gain a lot of muscle without weights. Run. A lot. That's one of the only things you can do. When you're done running, for however long you think you can (try at least a mile a day) then start doing sit ups. There's a certain type that helps, where while you lay down, you put your legs up above the ground and move them in sort of a "bicycle" motion, and then do sit ups, bringing your left elbow to your right knee and your right elbow to your left knee. It's probably the most effective ab exercise. I can't help you too much with arms, as you usually need a lot of weigh training for that.

Well, gymming and eating the right thing are essential in looking great and getting in shape.

Mayb u should do simple stuff like doing situps which helps trains ur abs. Situps are simple and can be done anywhere. you will have to do it everyday to see results. arms muscle can be shaped by doing simple lifting of weights. U have to lift a little weights to get the arms in shape.

As for toning of muscles, lift light weights and not heavy ones. these exercises will not give results overnight but over time, there wil surely be a difference.

increasing muscle mass or weight can be done easily by taking protein or mass increasing supplements like those powders sold in GNC or Nature Farm

There are three basic principles of training. Eat. Sleep. Train.

Sacrifice one for the other, and you'll end up quitting. Running or biking 4 - 5 days a week is good, with the balance of the seven days deliberately resting. Push ups, sit ups, home free weights, squat thrusts are great, but find an exercise for every muscle group and train anaerobically. Spend about as much time stretching as training. (until you advance to 26 mile marathon runs or centuries on the bike).

U can do simple exercises at home like push-ups and crunches etc. u might also consider doing long distance running and riding a bike. There are lots of other stretch ups that can help too. The only thing is that u shouldn't expect to see a change in ur body so soon with all these exercises. It might takes some time for ur body to actually be the way u want it. Trust m u've got to be consistent in the exercises too.

Why not lift weights? Get over it. Weight training is the fastest and easiest way to build muscles.

If you are really prejudiced against weights, you can use elastic bands, elastic tubes, or bodyweight exercises. Search the internet and you'll find the exercises and you can buy tubes or bands locally. Visit a physical therapy center and you'll probably get the best price for tubes and/or bands.

Buy a weight set (cheap used or new) and study the following links.

your asking the impossible guy. You can run or jog and do non-weight exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups, etc.. to tone. But the only way to build muscle is to lift weights, your body builds muscle through the cycle of catabolism and anabolism. When you are at the gym lifting weights you are in the process of catabolism (the breakdown of muscle), when you are at home resting, your body is in the state of anabolism (the building of muscle) as it rebuilds the muscle to be able to lift the weights you were throwing around at the gym

crunches, push-ups, get some free weights at the store, and work out. You could always do taebo. That stuff is hard.

for abs...do push ups a lot...and sit ups. i admire you for not wanting to work out at the gym. i think it's too immodest and whatnot there anyway. jog if you can. that's good for your heart.
