Heaven? And since wine and beer can cause liver disease, kidney disease, and can cause blood poisening and amoung the leading causes of auto accidents due to drunkness along with causing people to be angry drunks who fight and who often don't behave rationally. So, if smoking pot is a sinful thing that could get you a ticket to Hell, isn't booze also equally a ticket to Hell?

I know pot is illegal in pretty much all countries accept The Netherlands, but this isn't a legal question. It's a moral question. So, do boozers get to go to Heaven?

going to heaven is based upon grace, not acts... read your bible first, then listen to so-called "spiritual leaders" so you'll know when they're feeding you bs.

The Bible states that anything can be done within limits, although at this moment I can't quote the exact scripture. Those who are drunkards, addicts, etc. are not that way out of their own choosing, people seem to forget that there is such a thing as alcoholism and addiction, which are diseases. Be it spiritual, emotional, physical, or mental, it's still a disease. Because of their pain and suffering it's most likely they'll end up in heaven before we do.

The bible never addresses drinking alcohol. It condemns those who get drunk, but it doesn't say anything about drinking. However, be wary as drinking alcohol can lead to drunkenness. Pot is illegal so it is a sin to smoke it because it's a sin to break the law of the land unless following the law requires you to sin.

I don't drink because the only reason I see for drinking is getting drunk. Since I don't want to get drunk I'd much rather drink something that actually tastes good to me.

First of all. In the Bible it talks about you needing to invite Jesus into your heart and your life or you wont get into Heaven. After you accept Him as your personal Savior... it's your choice weather you do these things you want to. But I think no matter what you do, as long as you ask Jesus to be your personal Savior, your dead set to get into Heaven. Now I'm not saying accept Jesus then go out and drink and smoke etc. I'm hoping that you'll not want to do that.

I think that -ultimately- regardless if you are a drunk or a junkie if you accept Jesus as your savior before you die you pretty much get the ticket to Heaven. At least that's what most Christians believe.

In Islam, anything that you ingest voluntarily that harms your body is forbidden. Basically, you're committing a sin when you smoke or drink alcohol. Then again, God is the most Merciful and Oft-Forgiving.

Jesus didn't turn water into MR. PIBB! I remember somewhere in the bible Jesus says something like" it's not what goes in your mouth, but what comes out your mouth that can be a sin."
