that is riddiculous. I found the question is very insensitive. ambiguous. not true at all.
My answer is:
probably the "questioner" confused with the polygamy in Islam, which is to have more than 1 wife at a time. you are allowed to have up to 4 wives IF you are capable financially, capable of being fair to each wives. If you afaid you can't be fair to each wives, then one is enough as that is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice.
please refer to Al-Quran, Surah An-nisa' (verse 3)
Islam encourage marriage and prohibit adultery. married to more than 1 wife due to love or responsibility (marrying a single mother too take care of her and her family) IS not crazy for sex. With polygamy you can avoid adultery.

To be honest, I don't know that Muslims are any more than Americans, but to address the question: manmade philosophies, as they become more dogmatic, ALWAYS lead to sexual perversion. The more life is lived man-centered, the more sexual the society. Take America, in 1963, we attempted to throw off God from our backs. Is it no coincidence, then, that a few short years later we entered what is known now as the "sexual revolution"?
