don't listen to people saying crunches. Crunches strengthen your stomach, but they don't get rid of fat. Think about it. You may have the strongest abs in the world, but if there is a layer of fat covering them, you won't be able to see them. Make sense?

So, if you are after losing that fat, you should watch your diet. Reduce your calories by about 500 per day, and maintain that diet until you are satisfied with your results. Fat loss is 90% diet, and 10% exercise, so if you feel it's necessary, you can add exercise to your routine (it almost doesn't matter what exercises you're doing).

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Be a kid yet again! When eating out, order a new child’s sandwich, pizza or cheese burger. Then you can have the treats you cherish, while reducing your portions and lowering your calorie intake.

No secret.

For weight loss exercise such as swimming, running, cycling and even walking can help but dieting can often help a lot more than exercise.

A very good and healthy weight loss diet is the DASH diet that can also help to reduce high cholesterol and high BP.

The DASH diet includes a lot of fruit and vegetables combined with whole grains and cereals plus low fat dairy products such as low fat cheese, milk and yogurt as well as lean meats.

Good serials are Weetbix, oatmeal, oatbran, wheat bran and wheat germ.

To keep the weight off, you should loose about 1 pound per week.

Firstly, contrary to popular opinion, you cannot lose fat just from one trouble spot. Fat is almost always lost uniformly from different areas of the body.

The rectus abdominus muscles that are beneath all of the flab are generally weak in people who have a gut. Strengthening these muscles will give good results, but you should keep in mind that what has actually happened is that since the muscles are tighter, you the beer gut effect is minimized. But the fat is still there, it's just less noticeable.

So while stomach exercises can give you good results, the only way to lose the underlying fat is to slim down. If you have always had problem slimming down, or you just can't seem to remove the fat from your tummy, you can always opt for liposuction.

As far as exercises, try to do stomach crunches or half situps.

PS- "Kligor" is correct. But stomach crunches can help strengthen the muscles, giving you better form and posture, and helping minimize backaches- so long as you don't overdo them. Having strong muscles will then allow you to perform other exercises with greater ease, which in turn may help prolong your workout routine (many people quit exercising on account of a bad back, which itself is usually due to weak back and stomach muscles).

PS2- Eating just 500 calories a day may be too little. I think if you can simply cut out 500 calories a day (average intake being around 2,500 calories/day- so your new total is about 2,000) you will lose about a pound per week from caloric reduction alone. You can also lose an additional pound of fat from exercising. Two pounds a week is healthy. Any more may be pushing it.

I lost my flabby tummy by doing situps...start with 10 or so...and work your way up...I got up to about 100....could do more...but I felt that was enough.
