"It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power."

ACTS 1:7 KJV

Also this one,

"But of that day or hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but the Father only."

ST. MATTHEW 24:36 KJV

This question is mainly for you people who memorize revelations to try and predict the future, think that the end of the world is going to happen in this generation like 2007, 2012, and don't pay attention to the rest of the bible.

Did the Father personaly tell you what year it was? Why do you make Jesus out to be a liar when you prophesy?

It is what it is, no man knows when Jesus is coming back, that is why it is best for everyone to be prepared at all times for his return. Many false prophets will rise up, think of it this day, everyday is the last day b/c eventually it will all end.

There is so much that yall are missing. We are commanded to watch for his comming. The night watchman who sleeps and does not watch for his comming will be punished. Jesus says you can discern weather it will be fair weather ect... but you can not discern the times. The church did not know the Messiah had come the first time, but some did know, like the 76 year old woman who knew the approximate time Jesus would come, and the three wise men who knew that Jesus was comming because the studied the Bible.

Jesus was talking about experiencing Judgement day which he had not experienced before the cross.

Jesus comes as a thief in the night for the unbelievers, the unbelievers do not know when he is comming. But scripture says he does not come as a thief for us the believers.

There are so many time clues given in the Bible, unbelievers will focus on misunderstanding a tricky verse, which is simple if you understand that the cross meant judgment day, not figuratively but literally for Jesus.
There are time clues such as the 1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days and we know when these days are in the year. We also have the prophesy of the fig tree comming into leaf. That was fulfilled from the 1260 to 1290 days, and also these days have significance now. And after 1260 days there will be a time of 3 and 1/2 and then the rapture.

Those who don't know any of these things have not studied the Bible closely and exhaustively, as the three wise men.

The chapter Acts 1 goes on to say:
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

But if you read other scripture you see that we will have some idea about when he comes.

We know the season and better yet when the 2 witnesses are killed we know within days.

The season is the parable of the fig tree.

Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

May 15, 1948 Israel became a nation again. This generation shall not die until all these before mention things come to pass.

This also coincides with the baby-boomer generation.

Daniel 12:11-12 gives the years. See my blog on 360.

Bravo. Well said. If I had one question to ask God, it wouldn't be about the end of the world. It would be about me. And most of the people who read this and disagree, are lying to themselves. What does it matter if the world prospers, and people live to ripe old ages, if I go to Hell? On any other issue, I'll stand side by side and scream my complaints to heaven. But when it comes to the end of the world, I stand before God, I hope...

You gotta walk, that lonesome valley. You gotta walk, it by yourself...

No one can predict the exact time or hour, however, read below, Jesus said we would be able to tell when it is near.

Matthew 16
1The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
2He replied,[a] "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' 3and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 4A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.

The sign of Jonah was the miracle of Jonah returning from the belly of the fish. When Jesus tells the Pharisees that the only sign that will be given them is the sign of Jonah, He is referring to His upcoming resurrection. Jonah was given up to the sea to die, and yet God returned him to life. Consider this:

Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

I don't know why people, especially preachers try to predict the end. Noone knows as God said, only He does.
