Yeah, I just got all mine finished... I wrote Dear ____, thank you so very much for _______ (in the case of money, I wrote 'your generous gift of money', which is slightly more polite than saying 'the 50 bucks'). The graduation ceremony was very memorable, and my graduation party was a lot of fun. It's so great to be done with high school! I'm looking forward to starting college at _____ in the fall. Thanks again!

I so feel your pain though... I went through ten mock ups (all of which were silly, silly notes I wouldn't actually consider sending) before my family got the bright idea to make my brother's fiancee write the dummy note. She's the only one of us with any brains..

Only write Thank You notes to those dat gave you a card.
In each card you give them, tell them one thing you like about them and thank them for their encouragement.

How about...
" Dear________;
Thank you for sharing such a fun day with my family! I really appreciate your being part of our celebration. My graduation has been a long anticipated event in my family and we are all happy to see me headed off for College at ________ (or starting my own career../life/ etc).

for those who brought a gift.....
I really appreciate your thoughtful gift of _________ it will really come in handy for (school, work, my new apartment).

for those who brought money
Your generous gift to my college fund (new apartment fund / ) is seriously appreciated.

for those who just were there in person ( no gifts)
Thank you again for being with my family to share this big event. "

If they gave you cash, tell them" thank you for the wonderful gift. The money will be put towards my education. " Or "your gift will come in handy when I start college in the fall". Something to that effect, Let them know how much it is appreciated,
