It all depends how bad the lie was..was it one little white lie that even you and I tell? Or was it one where you or someone else got hurt as a result? If it was the latter, then you should maybe kick his a** and let him know the consequences should he ever do it again!!

MOST PEOPLE HERE HAVE SAID IT DEPENDS ON WHAT HE LIED ABOUT. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THAT MAKE? HE IS A DAMNED LIAR NOW. HE WILL LIE AGAIN AND AGAIN BECAUSE HE CAN AND YOU WILL LET HIM.
A RELATIONSHIP, NO MATTER IF IT IS B/F G/F OR MAN AND WIFE IS BASED ON MUTUAL ADMIRATION AND TRUST. HOW CAN YOU ADMIRE AND TRUST A CONFIRMED LIAR.
NOT TO MENTION HE STOLE AND STOLE CREDIT CARDS. WHAT WAS HIS INTENTIONS WITH THOSE. HAD TO BE LESS THAN HONORALBE. WHAT ELSE HAS HE STOLEN? NEXT STOP, PRISON.
THE ADMINISTATOR AT SCHOOL SHOULD ALSO BE CHASTISED TOO. SHE DIVULGED INFORMATION TO YOU THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AS YOU ARE NOT THE GAURDIAN, NOR A LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE OF HIS. THIS IS ILLEGAL IN THE U.S.A..
I KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THIS, BUT YOUR BEST MOVE IS TO DUMP HIM. THIS IS THE WAY TO STOP THE LIES. DON'T LOOK BACK EITHER.

Is he going to continue to lie to you?
Was the lie a big one or little one?
Did the lie effect you personally?
Will you ever be able to trust him again?
Does he want to win your trust back?
I think this question is more for you. What exactly can he do that you would feel is an appropriate explanation/punishment.
Why don't you want to break-up with him? Are you willing to accept this type of behavior over and over again?
Good Luck

Talk to him, get on his case. It really depends on what he lied about. If it is something serious then you should definately talk it out and if he did it out of bad intension then you need to break up with him. I know you didn't want to hear that, but it's what needs to happen.

it seems to me that he has probably lied to you on other occasions to. also he seems to be quite a ""Rebel" of sorts. i wouldnt recommend u to stay with him because u might get dragged into watever hes doing, unless u can get him to stop it, otherwise u might be leaving him for the better or staying with him for the worse.

ok, first you can't ask a question and then tell us the answers you refuse to accept...that's stupid and that is what yahoo answers is all about.
secondly, our answers depend on what he lied to you about so you aren't giving us any information to go with so that we can help you.

Then forget about. Be happy. Lies are just words after all, right?
