God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting; The Eternal, The Absolute. The One and Only. The knower of visible and invisible, Most beneficent, Most Merciful, The Sovereign, Source of Peace, The Protector, The Guardian, The Hearer, The Seer, The Creator, Provider, The Self-Sufficient, The Majestic, The High, The Great.
He is God, The First: Nothing is before Him, The Last: Nothing is After Him, The Most High: Nothing is Above Him, The Most Near: Nothing is beyond His Reach.
"Vision comprehendeth Him not, but He comprehendeth (all) vision. He is the Subtle, the Aware." (QURAN 6: 102)
Such Is God
"God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting; slumber does not seize him nor does sleep; to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him, except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is after them, but they do not comprehend anything of His knowledge, except what He will. His Throne extends over the heavens and earth, and their guarding does not strain Him; and He is the High, the Great." (QURAN 2:255)
God, who is Perfect in every manner and aspect. He begets not, nor is He begotten. He is not Created nor Sustained. Yet He Creates and Sustains all that there is in existence. His Creation is not a part of Him. God is not now, nor was He ever in His Creation. And there does not exist in His Creation anything like unto Him. He is Unique,
He is God—the Creator, the Maker, and the Giver of Form. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the heavens and Earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise. Quran 59: 24

GOD’S NAME
The Massorah has a rubric calling attention to these first 4 acrostics. This locks in the name of God according to Hebrew and Biblical scholars. The name also being spelled backwards for Divine reasons, a subject for another time.
Est.1:20 And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.
( shall give to their husbands honour both to great and small ) Hebrew ( Hi Vekal Hannashim Yittenu ) HVHY
Est.5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.
( let the king and Haman come this day ) Hebrew ( Yabo Hammelek Vehaman Hayyom ) YHVH
Est.5:13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
( this availeth me nothing ) Hebrew ( zeH eynennV shoveH leY ) HVHY
Est.7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
( that there was evil determined against him ) Hebrew ( kY kalethaH elayV haraaH ) YHVH
Also a 5th acrostic of “ I am”, ( I am that I am ) Hebrew ( ehyeh asher ehyeh ) Exo.3:14
Est.7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
( Who is he, and where is he ) Hebrew ( huE zeH veeY zeH ) EHYH “I am”
The Massorah has a special rubric calling attention this acroustic.
Psa.96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
Hebrew ( Yismehu Hashshamayim Vethagel Haarez ) YHVH

I was told by several Muslim friends that the word "Allah" is really a title meaning "God". It is not really a name--in the same way that the words "doctor", "attorney" are not names but titles.
However, in the KingJames Bible the name of God is JEHOVAH. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18). Many scholars say that this name mean: (a) He who causes to exist, (b) He is the cause of all that exist, (c) He causes to become. It comes from the Hebrew word "Hawa" meaning to become.
By the way, contrary to Jewish traditions, Jesus made God's name (Jehovah) known. Read Matthew 6:9; John 17:6, King James.

As I can see by the answer you are receiving most of the people in this forum knows nothing about the semetic languages. Allah is a arabic translation of the word Eloh form the hebrew or Elohim to Allahuma which pluralized them both. The names are the same phoeneticly and the Arabic and Hebrew are pretty much the same language. both languages share pretty much the same sounds in there alphabets. Check it out don't believe me.As far as the doctrine the Qur'aan is a regurgitated Bible as amatter of fact the Qur'aan talk more about Jesus/Yashu'a/Isa more than Muhammad.

Allah Arabic for God Spanish Dios French Dieu German Gott Italian Dio Dutch De god Portuguese Deus Russian ??? Norwegian Gud The Bible is written through guy. The old testomony God sounds in yet otherwise then the hot testomony God. yet they're an same God. The Quran became written through God and given to Muhammad (pbuh) and sounds more effective like the God of the old testomony.
