Do not hard boil eggs unless you are prepared to use them within two days.

Keep them fresh in the refrigerator instead, where they can last for weeks before going bad.

Hard boiled eggs, even when refrigerated, will turn green and black very quick and get really spoiled soon after.

On the other hand, don't use very fresh eggs just from the grocery for hard boiling. The shell will be very difficult to remove.

Always use eggs at room temperature before hard boiling, and begin with cold water with a few drops of wine vinegar. Never drop them in boiling water, nor use the microwave.

They stay good for months. I remember as a child, when once in a while I would find one in my yard that I had missed on Easter., just caused a few days of projectile vomiting and my sister spent a month in the hospital, but other than that they're still good

I only keep them in the fridge for 3-4 days max.

After that I throw them in the pickling jar and mix brine, vinegar, chilis, garlic, peppers, and tabasco sauce. Not only do they last longer, they taste better too.

you can keep hard boiled eggs in the refrig. for about 2 weeks.
