dying my hair...?

Question

I have dark brown hair and i want to dye my hair with blonde, pink and purple streaks. What's the best way to do this so that it looks cool but doesn't look like blah streaks of color? I saw someone at a show a few months ago with this type of thing done and I loved it.

Is there a web site where i could "try on" colors to see what i liked best??

do it ultra thin----like 1 cenimeter

bleach it first.... then get a friend to help with the colors, pull strands out and away.... add color and wrap in tinfoil for half an hour (don't forget the gloves)... special effects makes kickass colors, my 14 year old has been using them for over 2 years, atomis pink is her fav, we re-dye it when it fades too much- usually 6 weeks before it's no longer 'hot' pink- we have tried others, and nothing lasts like the special effects

I think the best thing to do is get it done professionally. My hair stylist always has cool hair like the kind you want! But, if you try to do it yourself, anything could go wrong.

if you have the money have someone at the salon do it. They use less chemicals and it will look a whole lot cooler. If you are a little tight with the money then go to a beauty school, sutdents do the work so it costs less. make sure the stripes are alternate and they aren't big and blocky they will look like crap then.. have fun

keep ur brown and foil half ur head with these colors with leaving a brown in between each. depending on how dark ur hair is u may have to do a 2 step process
( and when i say half the head I dont mean one side i mean not all of ur hair. do the top and sides.)
dont stip ur hair. depending on how dark ur hair is u may need to use a higher volume. it will work

Got to a hair person and ask them to do it as long as you have a picture they can do it but it might get up to 300 dollars depending on how good the hair person is

do a small blond streak,the pink ,then purple, the blond,ect. but do small streaks all the way around not big; it will look tacky.

my hair is dark brown and i put red streaks in it and it looks really good. the way i did it is with tin foil. just get someone u trust with your hair to help u with it.

To dye dark hair blonde, you have to strp the color. you'll need to be very careful..you can severly damage your hair. i would suck it up and pay the money to have a salon do it!

getting your hair light could be a problem without damaging it - oif you do lighten it i suggest you get extensions of colors - you can get ones that are attached to little combs that you hook under the top layer of hair and you can change the color daily
