Old Navy is the same company as Gap-- the idea behind it is Gap styles at cheaper prices....
Even cheaper, and my personal top choice???
TJ Maxx, or A.J.Wright or Marshall's. They carry all the overstocked items from other companies. (Polo, Tommy, Timberland, Gap, etc,) I have had my son outfitted in alot of namebrand clothing--never from the actual store....(I'm talking $5-$6 for a shirt, $8-$10 for pants or shorts)
Just remember, it's not really about the names, get good quality clothes that you think the little one would enjoy and be comfortable in, and the parents can feel good about!! Good luck!

K-mart or even Wal-Mart. These places I'd choose because they do have cute clothes and besides that by the time you buy these clothes they will out grow them. And you'd have to go out and spend more money at those other expensive retail stores.

I don't personally like to spend a lot on clothes, as babies grow soooooooo fast! I have been getting things, new with tags, on eBay for .99. Beleive it or not!
Or there's Old Navy, Shopko, Wal-Mart (they have their own brand of Carter's, which is called Child of Mine), Kohl's (only if there's a sale), The Children's Place, JCPenny, Sears, Kmart, Little Me, Carter's, Oshkosh 'B Gosh, consignment shops in your area sometimes have great deals too. Hope that this helps!

Burlington Coat factory also has tons of clothes for great prices. But I also agree that TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls are great places too.

is there a tjmax where you live or aj wright or marshalls, theres gotta be a store that sells brand name clothes at wholesale prices or burlington coat factory is a big one too. i get my kids name brand clothes for dirt cheap at these place plus stuff for myself too. the only catch...make sure they fit, sometimes they are sized wrong or theres a crooked hem...ussually the stores get these clothes because there is one item that is incorrect so they have to send the whole batch to these stores.

Try the brand name outlet stores in your area.
or go to the brand names but head to the back, every store has a clearance section and when you wear no one knows the difference.

eBay. You can search for a certain brand like Gap, Circo, etc. according to size and gender. You can find new clothes with tags (NWT), new without tags (NWOT), and gently used clothes. I have purchased some clothes for my kids that were like new for next to nothing.

depends on if you are shopping for a boy or a girl. I have found that kohls and childrens palace actually have a selection to choose from for little boys. most stores have a wide variety of clothing for girls but little boys have very little to choose from. i have also found clothes at toys r us and babies r us.
