I had problems with my children eating also. I made them something that I called special bananas. I had special bowls that I cut up banana slices in, then I poured a little milk on top and then
I sprinkled colored sugar on top. My kids loved them. My married
daughter still fixes herself special bananas. I also used to peel
and core apples and then slice them so they looked like circles. I then put them in a circle on a small plate. Then place a glob of peanut butter in the center of the plate for dipping. Kids love any thing special.
My mom used to make me what she called baby sandwiches.
They were two slices of bread, cut on the diagonal to make 4
tiny sandwiches. Then she placed something different in each
one. One might have butter, another peanut butter, another may
have bologna, and another maybe jelly. I used to love them and
my kids did too. Cheese cut in special shapes using cookie
cutters are a cute trick even stack them with bologna and bread. I think kids go for anything that makes food fun.
But don't dispair, My son was pencil thin and very active.
He didn't like to take time to eat. His baby doctor told me
not to worry that he would eat just what his body required. In other words, he won't starve to death. It is natural to worry
though. Your son will grow up just fine, trust me, my skinny
baby boy grew up to be a fine young man. Now he is 27 and
very filled out!
Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff they don't stay small
very long!

Have you tried...
Veggies dipped in extra creamy peanut butter?
Eggs? They can be prepared several different ways.
Nuts?
Tuna?
Raisins?
Apples that are cored and dipped in caramel?
A variety of fruits? Even some different ones like blueberries, raspberries, mangos, or melons?
String Cheese? Most kids this age love to see how it's peeled.
Snack Crackers? Goldfish, Cheez-Its, Bite size Wheat Thins in a good flavor?

"additionally, there are 'veggie chips'. Theyre chips, yet healthy by making use of a few means.. i admire them, and so does my son" --> dude, those are CHIPS! they are colored with a tiny little bit of vegetable powder -- nutritionally meaningless -- and distinctive than for that they are basically undeniable previous chips and there is not any longer some thing healthy approximately them. I understand there are some loopy kit claims -- constantly study ingredient labels heavily. You and your son are gorging yourselves on junky previous chips. As already stated -- he does not choose particular food. basically supply him what you're having. At 14mo my daughter grew to alter into stable with a spoon and fork and that i gave her particularly some particularly finely diced fruit salads, and "Greek" salads of finely chopped cucumber, peppers, tomatoes, with feta and black olives and an uncomplicated olive oil and lemon dressing and somewhat oregano, and he or she grew to alter into additionally mad approximately pesto (like me). Oatcakes are a great convenience food for little infants -- they are often basically oats. do no longer shrink your teenager to boring -- i admire Indian food and grew to alter into giving gentle curries interior the previous than 14mo. (consequence: now-4yo loves an comparable Indian food I eat.)

try just plain dry cereal, wheat crackers w/peanut butter and raisins, vegies with dip, apple slices with caramel dip or peanut butter, tortillas filled with cheese and lunch meat, low fat nachos, oatmeal, popcorn, low fat granola. children need foods from all four food groups. they need breads, potatoes, starches, fruits, vegies, lean proteins, and a little fat. our ancestors ate from all four food groups, were very active, and healthy. eliminating food groups only eliminates essential nutrients and minerals. good luck
