advantageand disadvantage of microsoft exel?

ADvantages:
-easy to start using
-very powerful if you know how it works
-itegration. i.e. Excel documetns can easily be made to be used in other custom applications, or in wordfore example.
-Multiple save formats for compatibility, ie yo can save as html and send to a friend who doesn't have excel.

Disadvantages
-takes up some harddrive space, very little though
-very expensive compared to other similar applications-not everyone has it so you have to save to a different format when sending to someone who doesn't have excel or an application capable of reading excel documents
- macro' and some flaws create a security risk.
