our striving would be losing.--

I love that, it's from Martin Luther's "A Mighty Fortress is our God". It just puts the cap on people who think that what they do can or say matters against the Judge of heaven and earth. We are all condemned, but Christ freed us from that in His sacrifice.

That is my favorite verse of my favorite hymn of all. Thanks for bringing it to mind!

What is you evidence that you believe? Yes we all have come short and we were all included under sin that Gods salvation would abound that any should boast. We cannot please God in the flesh, but he said, If you love me you will keep his commandments. Keep yourself unspotted from the world and provide yourselves a perfect living sacrifice. This is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

I agree. If only people would be willing to study the claims of Christ themselves with an open mind! It grieves me to see the scores of people, Christian and nonChristian, who do not seem to know Him, or know His Word very well.

Yes,though we were yet sinners Christ died for us.That has always been the amazing thing to me....not that he chose to die but that he choose to die for me while I was yet a sinner. And, it is by grace lest any man should boast. What an awesome gift! God bless you and keep you!
