I think I have hayfever, but I am not sure. My sinuses are fine, but my eyes are very itchy sore and irritable. I have been using eye drops to soothe them but they provide short term relief. Does it sound like I have hayfever, and if so, what is the best remedy?

Try over the counter allergy medications like Claritin or Alavert first. If symptoms do not improve within a few days or eye irritation becomes worse, see your doctor for evaluation to determine if allergy medications are appropriate. If so, he may be able to prescribe a prescription strength medication for allergies such as Zyrtec or allergy eye drops such as Patanol, Zaditor or Acular, if these are appropriate in your situation.

These can be the symptoms of hayfever ...
Inhaled allergens trigger sneezing and inflammation of the nose and mucous membranes (conjunctiva) of the eyes. The nose, roof of the mouth, eyes, and throat begin to itch gradually or abruptly after the onset of the pollen season. Tearing, sneezing, and clear, watery nasal discharge soon follow the itching. Headaches and irritability may also occur.

Get "Zirtech" antihystamine tablets.Only a couple of quid but did the trick.I (used to) feel your pain.

Make fresh lemon tea with honey drink for few days .. trust me it will work i had same problems and it helped me
