I know to straighten your hair a lot you should put stuff in to protect it, so can any one tell me some names of the stuff that you use to protect your hair so it doesn't get all dry and damaged?

I use this stuff that I got at Sallys Beauty Supply it's called: Beyond the Zone Turn up the heat for use with Flat Irons. Also a good leave in conditioner can help aid in keeping your hair from drying out. I would suggest going to your nearest beauty supply place and asking them they may even be able to suggest something that works even better.

24me04u has the right idea......however, it all depends on your hair texture and if it is hi-lited or colored also makes a difference. Silk Infusion is about the best in my opinion and it has less the alcohol of it's sister Silk Therapy both product put out by Farouk Hair Systems and you find them at Sally's forget it all that crap at sally's is boggus wanna be's protect and invest in your hair heke you girls spend a fortune on your shoes and clothes when you otta more concerned with whats on top of your head like your Hair........And if you are going to iron in get a CHI Iron they are alittle pricey but then so are you......your worth it. I don't put any heat on my hair....but I still use Infusium 23 leave in conditioner.....and try to deep condition my hair often. Do you mean chemical straightening like relaxers or flat ironing everyday? You need to make sure you stick with a good hair dresser and do not let just anyone apply those chemicals to your hair....and stick with the same person. Also, try not to appy heat EVERYDAY!

You need something with an oily texture- try Paul Mitchell. It comes in a clear large bottle with a green top- a works wonders! I know several hairdressers that use it after straightening hair. Plus it's reasonably priced, lasts a long time, and smells really great!

there is a product specifically made for a CHI. which is a straightening iron that can fry your hair if you don't use the right product. Now you can go to a place where they sell hair product and you can get spray that is used for the CHI. Its in a red bottle.
