Is it true that birds have lice? If so then is it the same kind humans can get?

Most birds have lice, but lice are species-specific. As far as I know, people cannot "get" bird lice.

I am not sure if there is a difference but I do know that birds can have scabies...and humans can also get them...also known as body lice.
