Yes! We have a mesuza (sp?) on our doorpost and when we move into a new place we read the blessing from Deuteronomy 6. We also pray and plead the blood of Jesus over our home, ourselves and our property every night with our children according to the covenant that God established with us through the blood of His Son.
We don't do these things as a religious rite but as a reminder to ourselves of what God has promised us and who we are in Him.

When we recently moved into a new home, my pastor came over for a house blessing. We invited some close friends, and with a lit candle, went from room to room, with a different prayer for each one. (This was a Lutheran [ELCA] blessing.) It was a very nice ceremony, and the house seems so peaceful. We'll repeat it annually, I think.

Afterwards, we sought good fortune by breaking a bottle of wine against the house. (This will be a one time deal.)

I asked God to bless my home 5 years ago. He has. I have the best marriage, bills are paid on time, two vehicles in the driveway, two bank accounts, savings and checking accounts, and good neighbors. One of my neighbors is my assistant Pastor.
I am blessed. Praise God. I give God the praise at least twice a week in church.

Yes I bless my home. Since Litha is coming up shortly I will once again bless my home on the solstice and I usually do so on the Wiccan holidays as part of my rituals. I use sea salt, incense, milk, honey, oil and wine.

Steve used to do that, but I haven't done it since he died in December. Thanks for reminding me; it's probably time for me to do it again. The summer solstice is coming up.

I have an incense burner that has a handle, so it can be carried around. It's one of the kind where you put a piece of charcoal and then put resin-type incense on it to smoke. I will close all the windows and doors, light the incense, and walk about, chanting my basic blessing chant: "In the name of the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone."

I have driven negative energies from my home, including residual energy from a person who died.

This process is long and complicated but suffice it to say, those who enter my house feel the peace within. I am a solitary Wiccan.

yes I do - blessing for me is a matter of choice - most often I use frankensense & myrrh incents - sea salt is also good for keeping away bad spirits - use a witches broom to sweep the doorways - just me though - I do it as often as I feel the bad energy - use all of the elements - fire, water, earth, etc
