Unfortunately, stretch marks never go away, but they can fade with time. When I went through puberty, I went from being flat as a board to being a voluptious C in a matter of a month. When you grow that fast, your skin can't catch up and you end up with stretch marks. I had very dark stretch marks from it. Use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Creme, which is also recommended for pregnant women to prevent stretch marks.

I've been told baby oil can also help, but I haven't tried it myself.

You're young, and they will fade. You can hardly see mine now. I'm Japanese and I have a darker shade of skin, and I've noticed that when I get too much sun, the stretch marks are more noticable, so you might want to limit sun exposure and use a higher SPF.

Don't be self-conscious! Everyone has little "blemishes" about them. You're beautiful!

Hope this helps!!!

Cocoa Butter is great for stretch marks. You might also try shea butter cream from Bath & Body Works-it works miracles too! I am a 41 year old white female with a lot of stretch marks-both ideas work well-trust me!

stretch marks are hard to get rid of but can be helped...pure cocoa butter cream masaged on the area works wonders for african american skin....also lotions that tone the skin like the ones with firm in the title or collagen type are good...also drink lots of water and exercise mucles in that area...finally if all else fails you can use a tanning lotion that blends in with you skin color or go get a tan either inside or out. but remember everybody has them...so embrace them as part of you and deal...you are still beautiful...and guys don't really care about them that much, just us really...hope that helps!

retin-a is the best thing that I have found. You can buy it really inexpensively (like 5 bucks for 2 weeks worth) at a health food store.

They are created by hormones and you could go see a plastic surgeon for a laser treatment specifically for that reason.
