How could you "accidentally" take 4500 mgs. Each pill is only about what 200 mg. or so. I would be very carefull about taking alot of them because they can damage your liver very badly. A friend of mine took them by the handfuls for years for headaches and she died at the age of 34 due to liver failure. We were all shocked. I didn't realize they were that dangerous. I take Advil, but I am cautious about it as I know it is hard on your stomach. Just be cautious with any otc medicine you take as it can have deadly side effects if abused. Luckily and hopefully you are fine. Please don't take that much at one time again.

If it hasn't done anythin by now it won't. I wouldn't reccommend to keep doing that everyday though or else it will have long-term side effects.
That being said...9 pills (again assuming they are 500 mg each) isn't that many considering the bottle says you can take 2 every four hours. It would be really really hard, probably impossible, to OD on only 9 tylenols...even taken all at the same time the worse that would probably happen was your felt sick and then threw up. Unless you only weighed 50 pounds or so that is.

honey, you will sleep good tonight - but tomorrow you need to seek help. I only hope you didn't drink or take extra medicine. I hope all seems more favorable in the AM. I also hope you were looking for help near you too, so someone could be around you while you self medicate. Do you understand that this was a suicide attempt? In the eyes of the law? Wanna talk - I am here.

You're probably okay, but I wouldn't do it again. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is harmful to the liver--and can even cause death.

ummm...how was that an accident?? that's like taking 9 pills, assuming they're 500 mg...maybe you should look at what you're putting in your mouth before you swallow...

That is one of the safest drugs you can take. Your liver is probably not thanking you, however. (I AM NOT A DOCTOR)
