She begs to go outside and all she wants to do is eat grass or new leaves on small trees. Not all the time but once a week or so.

Something's upsetting her tummy. She's eating leaves and grass so she'll throw up--it's a dog thing. They're pretty smart about how and when to empty out their stomach of something bad. Maybe she's getting into something in the house, or getting table scraps that are too rich, or too much food altogether? Try and figure out what she's been eating on those days she wanted to graze.

If a dog eats something that upset their stomach, sometimes they will go outside and eat grass to make themselves vomit and get rid of whatever was in their stomach. They also eat grass sometimes because of actual diseases in their stomach that is causing them discomfort, because it sounds like your dog is doing it on a regular basis, I would have her checked out by a vet

If a dog eats leaves or grass they are one missing something in their diet or they do have something like a stomach ache. They will eat enough to puke. I know it sounds sick but they can not tell us how they feel so they must figure this out on their own.

When cats and dogs eat grass in the yard sometimes, it can sometimes mean that the animal is a little nautious and sick. They eat it most of the time because it seems to help them get better faster.

They usually do it when their stomach aches or are not feeling well or actually have some indigestion or ate something bad... they do eat the grass and leaves many tines to induce vomiting and clean up their stomach.

cats and dogs usually do this when they are either lacking vitamins in their diet so try and give him some vegies in his food or if they are feeling a bit crook to help bring some rubbish up outta their tummies this may be related to not having vegies in their diet.
