We have a vendor who brings us Butter Rum Cookies in a Danish cookie tin every Christmas. They're delicious.

If you cant find them make your own. you can get hot buttered rum mix (it's a paste in a margerine type tub it'll be by the margarita mix and stuff) and rum flavor extract at the grocery store. just use a suger cookie recipie, substitute 1/2 the butter for buttered rum mix, and then instead of vanilla extract do the rum extract instead.

Rum gives a little kick to these tasty butter cookies.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, soft
1 cup sugar, divided
3 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons rum
2 1/2 cups unsifted flour
1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped orange peel
PREPARATION:
Cream butter with 3/4 cup sugar until light. Beat in egg yolks, flavorings, and rum. Gradually add flour, using hands to knead in last of it. When dough is smooth, shape into rolls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter, wrap in waxed paper and place in the refrigerator.

you can make them yourself.those that do manufacture them use imatation buttered rum.use real rum and real butter to get the real flavor.they use margarine not butter
