i'm getting hooked up with this guy and i was wondering if the age difference is ok he is 23 and im 17. we both have a lot in common we both like to fish and to hunt. we r going to go night fishing soon from about 6pm to 2 am my parenst are totally ok with itoh and he is very much a family person as i am 2.

if your parents are ok with it, it's ok. just don't have sex with him till after you're 18 to protect him - or at least make sure you understand the Statutory Rape laws of your state before you do.

being as your 17, some (most) will say no. but, if your parents are ok with it, and neither of you have a problem with the age difference, then go for it. age is nothing but a number, be happy.

yes its fine as long as your parents are okay with it. 23 and 17 isn't THAT much different now if he was like 40 yeah that would be weird but yeah. love is blind and soon you will forget about it if you like him enough! good luck night fishing!

I'd say go for it, I went for my hubby at seventeen and he was 28, it turned we were the love of each other's life, married from the start - three years 2-gether and Eternity to Go!!!

honestly...right know...six years might be a little bit too much...you guys are at different points in your life...I mean if you like him then by all means go out with him...but the age difference might start playing a role in the relationship.

i think it's perfectly ok. i was hooked up with a 27yr old guy when i was your age. and i find that he's one of the nicest boyfriends i had. he always pampered and took care of me. and he understood that i wasn't into intimacies at that time...

wait till your legal if you really like the guy. teen girls always want to rush things and get into all sorts of trouble. the law isnt up to your parents so better to wait to be officially dating till your legal.
