What is the Biblical description of the Cave of David? One does not exist, but why not open known void?

There is a large known void/cave at Ein-gedi, Israel, along side the Dead Sea, but it is still sealed to this day. Why? Do you know how many artifacts, along with the Dead Sea Scrolls, where found by the Dead Sea? Lots. Surely there are many interesting things in this hidden cave, right? Why not open cave? Well, many books and many theories have been out there! Most of them are not real!
