I have seen Temple stays advertised, but the get up at 3am worries me...Has anyone had the experience?
Its seems like an amazing experience to live with the monks for a weekend...

i've been fortunate to have been invited to lunch on 3-4 occasions at Buddest temples. all occasions were with "ni co"[Buddests nuns, woman]. all occasions were very pleasant. we talked, they showed me around the small hillside complexes, one "ni co" sang a beautiful song for us that we filmed for posterity [ its quite beauty full]. another "ni co" told our fortune. we were servered delicious vegetarian food, however the "ni co" would not dine with us... it was her custom to dine alone... truly special experiences on all occasions...
though i've never stayed overnight with the Buddest, i have with the Catholics... and we are IN church at 4:30 am.. its really nice they take their prayer very serious and we walk home at sun rise have breakfast and then start the day with a whole new outlook on life... you will probably be in bed by 9, so 3 am ain't so bad and the roosters will probably wake you anyway.
