Without knowing your job speak to your employers about them sponsoring you for a work permit visa. While it is difficult for a company to sponsor people, it is a little easier for your campany if you have already been working for them. This however doesn't apply if you work for Burger King, or its ilk.

Other option, apart from the good old marriage of convinience is to enrol as a student. On a student visa you can work 20 hours a week as well as study.

Hi there,

You may be eligible for a work permit if you have a degree OR 3 years experience OR a diploma + 1 year experience. It will depend on your job offer though and whether the club you work for will sponsor you.

If you play rugby at a competitive level you may be able to get a work permit that way.

Either way we need more information - if you would like an assessment please email me at Jessica.Stooke@Visalogic.net

Oooh good question. When you marry, you won't be an EU citizen. You will first be given a marriage visa for a year, then you can apply for ILR, and after another year you can apply for citizenship. From when you have citizenship, you have lower university fees. Not before.

1. Marry an EU or UK citizen OR
2. Get a job for which your employer can prove that no UK/EU citizen is qualified.
3. Short of becoming an illegal overstayer, there isn't really any other option.
