I highly doubt that they could afford to use true shark meat and pass the price on to you without a severe markup. It has been a while since I have eaten shark, but remember it being very tasty. I'm not even sure of what breed of shark it was that I ate, but I am sure that there isn't much difference in breeds. I don't think that I could say that it tastes like chicken, like everything else in this world!! LOL

I've tried a few days ago... and it tastes like little rubbery, white fish meat. I don't know about Long John Silvers -- they might either use cod or something similar. But shark meat-- the menu would be more expensive.

A shark IS a fish. I doubt that Long John Silver's uses shark in it's products, though.

I had in Berkeley CALIFORNIA at a fish house. AND it was SO good.STRANGE thing is this, it cut like a steak, was light colored and tasted better then chicken. I put fish sauce on it too.------As far as long john silvers they were serving bad food over here and the town closed them down. I had some of long john silvers fish and it didn't taste like shark meat.-------------------------------- THE shark steaks i had in California, were not cheap.

I buy shark steak and cook it on the grill. It's very expensive so Long John's would never serve it as "the other white meat".
Shark Steak has the consistency and look of a pork chop and doesn't taste as fishy as for example catfish.

I've eaten shark meat in some bar by the sea in Poland many years ago. I remember it tasted more like mammal meat rather than fish.

Shark is definitely way expensive. It doesn't taste at all fishy. It's a little rubbery for my taste. Long John Silver's is definitely NOT serving shark meat ...lol.

First of all, the fish at Long John Silvers is loaded with so much sodium-salt you wouldnt know the difference. If Mako is shark then I had it, and I love it. marinated & grilled or broiled..ummm
