That to be a man it has to come from within. To have the strength to do what's right and the courage to fix what's wrong. To understand the wants, needs and desires of others while at times putting them above your own. To have a heart that allows you to cry, and a soul that tells you it's alright.

That it always hurt to do a little good. Meaning that to do a job well, it is going to take some hard work, and the willingness to complete the job the best You can.

He would tell us this as children, as We would hand pick stickers out of the yard. It wasn't easy, but He always had a beautiful yard.

The advice really applies to most situations that come up in life.

The most important thing my father taught me was/is to have confidence in myself. I learned how to sing well by watching him too. Great question, because father's don't get the recognition that mother's do.

One phrase that always seems to stick with me is "knowledge is power". Though I'm sure he didn't mention it to me more than once or twice, it just seems to make perfect sense.

On the other hand though, he also taught me through his own actions how incredibly important patience is. Maybe it's just because he had to excercise his own patience so much when raising me?

spanking a bare butt with his hand will hurt more than the flyswatter! other than that....mine taught me about respect and respecting elders! an important lesson ive taught my son as well!

My father hasn't taught me ANYTHING! I cant really say anything positive about him other than that Sorry.

willpower - he shows his strong willpower by quit smoking for 30 yrs and been a good example for putting the best effort on everything that u do to make no regret.
