Sing everywhere, the car, the shower, the streets, public toilets, etc. Eventually you'll get used to it. Just remember, no one is judging you. They came to be entertained and they will be because they decided they would be. It's 75% how you look, 15% what you say and only 10% how you sound!
Besides, if your audience had any guts THEY would be up there!

practice and remember you own the stage. warm up before performance helps. maybe a little meditation would help. some folks like a drink or two but that can alter your performance in positive and negative ways, depending on what kind of performance you do.

It just takes time and experience. I had the same problem when I started to perform and I tried everything and nothing worked for me (breathing exercises, picturing people naked, etc.)

After 4 years of playing in front of different people and in different places I have no problems.

I hope this helps...

SING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE YOU KNOW AND YOU'LL GET USED TO IT. SO YOU'LL BE ABLE TO SING IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE(A BIG ONE).
