get them on video camera first. Then you have proof, and the parents can see what little shits their kids really are.

They are trepassing if they are coming on your property. Frist and foermost run them away with a verbal warning. Call the police to make a report. You need the record as backup. Tell the parents after the fact because they should not have allowed their children to terrorize the neighborhood.
Often than not, parents will do little than nothing. Coming into your garden and throwing rocks at your window shows a lack of discipline and no respect for the things of others.
Also, it is important to be proactive and not a victim. If the parent and the child know you have called the police to make a report, things will be different. You are not obligated to seek parents out to give them an update on their little spoiled brats.
Do not feel guilty for consulting the law first. After all, this is not a small matter. This is destruction of property. Do not allow anyone to make you feel guilty for standing up for your rights. Many will say that you should have spoken to the parents first. You are a home owner, not Clara the Social Worker. Take action and rid yourself of this problem, and you will be respected throughout the community.

They might be considered juveniles or something, so even if their parents should be responsible for them, and they have done something seriously wrong, they can't be punished a lot. You could put a fence, but I'm sure that the dedicated ones would only find delight in climbing over the fence every time they harass you. I'd probably say the local council, but it might depend on whether it happens to other houses around the neighbourhood too.

The next time they come, run out of the front door screaming like a mad man wielding a golf club or other blunt instrument, they'll run away before you get anywhere near them so you don't have to worry about actually caving their empty heads in. Guaranteed to keep them away for good.
alternatively call the police, but all they will do is come an hour after they've gone.

I'd throw the stones back at em. But on a serious note, report them to the police. If you want to stay on good terms with the neighbors try talkin with the parents first. And let them know, that if it continues that you will report them to the police.

Well Matt, since you mention local council,I wonder if you're English? In illinois, usa,Parents are liable for damage caused by children,if they are apprehended, and that doesn't mean you grabbing them,it means the police catching them. Not an easy matter. If you could get photos of them trespassing,it would improve things.First and foremost-Post the Property, and prosecute as allowed by law.

You have the 'power" to talk to their parents and then if they can't handle the behavior of these kids then I would ask the police to have a talk with them. Give the kids and their parents a chance to correct this before you seek out law enforcement.

Do you hgave a camera that you can set up in the window? Then you would have evidence. You need to call the police and have it documented. If you have the evidence, the parents are responsible for any damage to your property or person.

You should visit those children's parents first. I had trouble with kids and parents can sort the whole thing out after one conversation, get your video going so you can show some footage of what their 'little darlings' can do!
Stones can break windows you can threaten them with the police.

Barb wire (not the fencing equipment the movie, play it through your patio door and they'll be too distracted to throw anything...just kidding I did mean the former),
I'd call the police, who cares if you get the parents in trouble, they should be teaching their kids to respect other people and their property. You're doing a service to your community to report such anti-social behaviour!
