Change the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles. If you can do this, it is a lot cheaper than paying a mechanic, and most places uses really cheap oil and filters! Flush and fill coolant every 10, 000 miles. Flush and fill all other fluids every 50,000 miles. Make sure all fluids are always full. Take your car for regular "checkups" just like you take yourself to the doctor. You can get free diagnostics at Tuffys, I do that about every 6 months! Make sure you have good tires, and rotate them about every 5,000 miles. Keep your car properly aligned too! Some people may disagree, but once in awhile, you have to rev her up around 5,000 rpms just to clean up a little bit. I recommend a new battery every 5 years too. Be goo to your car, and it will be good to you.

I don't have any kids, so my car is my baby! She gets treated like a queen, and she is very good to me!

I hope you have an excellent day! By the way, what kind of car do you have?

Change the oil regularly. Don't do jackrabbit starts (which also uses extra gas).
