Be happy you have the time and temperament to spend with your step dad. Your sister may not have the emotional where with all to be the person you are so just take it in stride as the angel you are and I'll say a prayer for you. :-)

i felt the same as u in a way, when my mum became ill both of my sisters moved out of state and refused to see my mum when she asked for themwhich broke her ehart. the only time they came to visit was when mum got a big super pay out and they wanted some help with money. this angerd me like crazy aswell. but i kept my cool. maybe you should tell your sister that if she thinks she knows what is best for yoyr stepdad and mum that she should be spending all the time you are, then she would really know what they are going through. tell her that yoiur mother is more than capable of making these decisions and that why u are there to help when she makes these decisons, thats al she can do. is help when she is asked. the last thing your mum needs is someone who never sees them to tell her what she is going to do.i think u are doing more than enough to help, and she should just keep to visiting 3 hours a wekk to see how u are doing

I went through the same thing and there is nothing to do to change it. Just remember that they know you are there for them and you will have no regrets. Mine would not speak to me for several years and then she died and never would talk to me so you probably might say she is a person that just can't handle life like you can . Good Luck, and think of your Mom and what she is going through and will go through and you will be there for her , not your sister.

My mother went through the same exact thing. You should confront her and tell her how you feel, it was frustrating with my aunt because all she was around for in the end was my grandfather's will, but that may not be the case with your sister. Just tell her how you feel and ask her why she couldn't be there more often. I would be very dissapointed in her for not being their with your dad and for not helping your poor mother with him!

Keep doing what you are doing. It sounds to me like she could be greedy and just waitng for your step to die (sounds harsh sorry) Maybe thinking of what money she can get??

You shouldn't be angry. Accept what ever help she will give. Ask her if she can help more, so you can get a break.
