I think we agree but I call it religious fanaticism. Basically it is Facism in disguise.

That can be said for anyone with blinkers on. Have you ever had a discussion with someone about something you felt so strongly about and the other person was opposing what you believed. Sure it can be frustrating but there is a great deal you can learn from conflict. It is not a bad thing.
It's your choice in the end, make sure you choose the right to be heard. You don't need to do it in a nasty or mean way to get a point across. Always have an opinion but always accept that others also do and it won't always be the same. The best person will learn from others and value that conflict is healthy.

Perhaps because it is clear that God said, Now go and make disciples and spread the good news. We, true Christians know that you do NOT have to do this to get into Heaven, nor is it the way by doing good works, it is your personal relationship with God that counts. I will talk about God to anyone who wants to listen, but I will not force anyone. Besides, it is your choice where you want to end up isn't it? Heaven or Hell. Do you really want to be so blind and be left behind when the Rapture occurs? or perhaps you don't even know what it is? Are you so sure of this self serving society you care to risk your self and your family too? God Bless you if you do. Do not knock it like anything else in this world unless you try it and not just once. Research, explore, ask questions.... Christians do not mind being asked. How did you know what your favorite food was until you tried it? What do you have to lose?

People assume it because they think they are doing the right thing for a number of possible reasons. Sometimes it is self-righteous blindness and sometimes it is just Christ righteousness.
Righteous blindness is an oxymoron. Blindness is not seeing the truth that comes with self-righteousness.

I think (and mind you I am not the religious type) that if you believe in sonething so greatly, in particular something which could in fact (based on the speakers belief) save someone in the afterlife ---then why wouldn't you tell someone.
It's kind of like announcing "fire" when there is a fire. noone judges that because that is a warning to be careful or escape the premises. I would feel I have done the right thing if I announced fire so that people could save themselves. With religion, its similar, "save yourself, and convert."

If you knew, believed in your heart, that something was going to happen, wouldn't you want everyone to know about it. Say you knew that if people ate a certain plant, they would die, wouldn't you want to tell them not to eat it. Religion works in this way. People believe whole heartedly that what they have been taught to believe is the truth. That's why they want to convert others. If you knew that smoking kills, wouldn't you want all the people in the world who smoked to know that what they are doing is harmful? Try and think of it that way.

Well...I think people do it because they are that way and they think that is is the only way to go...but it doesn't matter what religion or what you are what matters is u believe in something...and if you don't then it is fine because as long as your happy why your here and alive then that is all that matters...and you should tell this person that is trying to get you to convert to lay off

People have done this sense the day of mans start on earth.
Wind, rain, fire. All came, some got out of the rain, wind and made fire to stay warm. Some were stupid and stayed outside, they got sick and died, life was more simple then.
In todays time, if it can't be downloaded to an ipod, no one will listen to it.

They want people to have a future home in heaven. Also they want people to have the peace, wisdom, and counsel of God (through The Holy Spirit) to make it through this life. I can't imagine going day by day with all of lifes struggles without Gods guidance.

Sharing the word of God with people is rightous, and is expected of us by God. This is what He is talking about in this scripture...
Mark 1:17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Christians are to share the word of God with the rest of the world, and tell every one that Jesus died for their sins, rose from the dead after 3 days, and asended into Heaven with God so we can have eternal life with them. But you have to accept Christ as your savior and live your life for Him. It's better than you think.
