Dependsing on what type of food you are feeding your dog will depend on how much you will feed.
I feed a very high quality diet and my 100 pound doberman eats 4 cups per day and looks great. If you are feeding a less nutritious food it would be more.
Read the bag of food you have and see what it recommends. Start with that and work with it keep an eye on your dog and make sure it is not getting to heavy.
A lab/shepard mix is a large dog and 1 cup per doy in most likely not enough food.
Puppies should be feed all the puppy food they will consume in 20 minutes about 3 to 4 times per day.

Tictreecare has given you the right answer according to my vet. What ever your dog will eat in 20 minutes than take the food away. The feeding should be 3 to 4 times a day. If he does'nt eat still pick the food up do not leave it down. This will also help in house training, after about 20 to 30 minutes they should need to go outside and do their thing.

The answer above mine pretty much sums it up, but after 3 months stay at 3 cups a day...Otherwise youd RUN OUT OF FOOD and YOUR DOG WOULD BE FAT!!!! 12 cups for a 1 year old...

2-3 cups a day for life

As a growing puppy, she should first be getting a banced puppy food. If she will be 55# or over at adulthood, then feed her one especially made for large breeds. Many of the top companies make one. Follow the feeding directions on the bag as a GUIDELINE for now. Measure the food. Once she is spayed, she will need 20% less food as her metabolism will change & her body will require less calories. Once she is spayed, weigh her once a month or more often to make sure she isn't geting overweight. Hopefully someone at your vet office can help you with her nutritional requirements. about 3 cups of food a day in two servings- so about 1 cup and a half in the morning, and one in the evening-by age- you increase what your puppy eats- i.e. 3 months, 3 cups, 4 months, 4 cups. etc- I have a Lab too, shes healthy

at the same time as my son became 9 months, he ate more effective solids than he did a bottle. The bottle in simple terms wasn't slicing it, he couldn't get finished sufficient to stay satisfied. So I switched over to feeding him more effective contained in the sunlight hours, and he would in undemanding words take about 5 bottles, one in each of them being precise previously mattress. in the different case if all I gave him turned right into a bottle, he'd pick an 8 ounce bottle, with yet another 5 ounce one precise behind it in simple terms to be happy! try giving your daughter rather of juice in the course of the day. My son is 11 months and nonetheless isnt an expert with the sippy cup, yet with a touch help from Mommy, he can get more effective out of it and somewhat any of it finally ends up on him or the floor (until eventually he comes to a decision he needs to objective to take over). you even ought to do no longer ignore that inspite of the actual undeniable actuality that it doesnt look like all that a lot, there is a few water in her solids. What I do is mix in simple terms rather more effective in jointly with his good ingredients, and per chance mix in a touch infant rice to make it no longer so runny. If she looks doing effective, and the physician thinks that she is healthful, then you actually haven't any further some thing to fret about. She's in simple terms transforming into more effective busy with different issues, and in no way going to settle on to pay as a lot interest to breast feeding.

dogs are fed by calories not quantity. your vet should recommend the calories which meet your dogs needs. You will need to call the dog food company to see the calories in the food per cup. Then feed this amount

Puppies should have food available to them all day long. And don't buy the cheap stuff because they need good nutrition at this stage.
