I've been in similar situations. I'd just avoid her bedroom, that's what I did.

After a few more times ask why it looks as if nothings gotten done yet. Then ask if there is anything you can do to help with the redecorating! That would get an interesting reacting.

I would ask my mom why she is lying. Your mom probably doesn't feel good about herself so she is taking any kind of attention she can get. She also needs to know that she is setting an example for you that isn't a positive one.
Try to talk with her and tell her how you feel. You only have one mom.
Take Care.

she is a grown woman and her sex life if she is married to him or not is none of your business. I am sure she was not involved in her mothers sex life. I am a divorced mother of 2 teen aged girls and if I bring someone home they are gone but if one happens in I hate it. It is my house..where I pay the bills and I am way over the legal consent age as I am sure your mother is. Stay out of her bedroom and out of her sex life. stay out of it I would bust my girls asses if they had one thing to say about my sex life. I dont know how old you are but maybe you need to get your own life and leave hers alone.
I just read some of the answers posted....she is not unfit for having sex...were your parents unfit????? Stay the hell out of her sex life!!!! Call DSS?? and tell them what...my mom is having sex...they will laugh you out of town. Grow up and leave her sex life to her and who ever this guy is!
When you pay the bills and feed her and clothe her then you can say something. Damn

She is an unfit mother. Can you talk to a responsible trustworthy adult about it? Someone should report her the Child Protective Services.
