I have more than ten bruises on each of my legs. They're small, about 1 centimeter in width. I know I didn't get them in any accident, cause they're all over. Could I have a disease?

In response to shogunly's questions,
I've just noticed them recently.
I'm 15, 5'5", and weigh 119 lbs
They're all over, the front abd the back.
The larger ones (2 cm) hurt when touched. They seem smooth and I don't take any meds besides vitamins.
It's just I don't want to go to a doctor or upset my mum.

you might have a problem with your platelets which are part of the blood involved in preventing bleeding.
one possible diagnosis that comes to mind is called ITP (ideopathic thrombocytopaenic purpura) which in plain english means (bruising from decrease in platlets forwhich there is no apparent reason)
you should shed more light on your condition by providing more details, personal and related to the bruises like:
# when did you first notice them?
# any fever , joint aches ,bleeding from any body orifices?
# do you have varicose veins?
# how old are you? weight?any conditions for which you are taking medicine chronically? pregnant or have been?
# touch these bruises, is there any pain whatso ever?
what part ofthe legs are they on exactly?
are they rough to touch or just like normal skin?

ok, brushing happens interior the fat layer of our epidermis and while the blood vessels pop the blood cells, etc. assemble under our epidermis forming massive, grotesque marks. women persons have greater epidermis fat levels than men and as a result bruise much less confusing, often. i do no longer bruise nicely, yet I also have a bruise on my knee from slamming it right into a concrete wall. It has a white center and a gloomy circle around it. sometimes we don't undergo in suggestions the place we get our bruises from , yet i do no longer think of you have maximum cancers. The white spot it probable the factor of consequence and each and all of the blood replace into pushed out of that spot into the encircling tissue and as a result varieties the bruise in a hoop. My bruise did no longer have a white spot and then gradually it have been given extra sought after, now it truly is healing however. :) sturdy success!

I take it that they appeared suddenly and you haven't had them before. There are a number of causes for this and you are unable to sort this out without the help of a doctor.
Since you don't mention a fever and malaise along with this, then I take it that you don't have either of these.
The ones that I think of:
- a blood clotting problem (low platelets, lack of certain clotting factors, other blood disorder)
- a connective tissue problem contributing to blood vessel fragility that leads to bruising.

doubtful you have a disease - sounds more like you don't eat healthy and quite possibly have a vitamin deficiency- which will cause you to bruise easier - even from just a slight bump you normally wouldn't notice. Try supplements of B12, C, K & folic acid (or eat foods that are rich in these vitamins) and see if that helps.

Possibly they are: broken blood vesels, a fungal infection, insect bite? (something's biting you in your sleep?), lack of vitamin C...... Go get them checked out by your doctor.

I wouldn't take any chances. Contact your MD and let he or she decide if it is anything serious. Good luck!
