well McAfree is the best if you want to pay. For free i recommend Avast!. Also you should use Spyware Blaster, Firefox, Spybot, Adaware, & Windows Defender.

McAfee is the best. Check ebay for the lowest prices. Make sure you find out what the shipping is from a seller on ebay before buying. Some of them boost the shipping costs so high that it would have been cheaper to buy it from a local store.

There are free ones out there but I don't know which ones are good.

AVG pro anti virus & firewall. get rid of Norton / symantic and download the free version of this AVG first. The company is AVG Grisoft. I use the pro version with firewall. Two yr licence for 49.95 US and a discount on renewal at the end of two yrs. This one works well, doesnot slow your system down like Norton and catches viruses really well. I use my PC for my business and I don't need viruses.

McAfee is the best & most user friendly antivirus program. If you buy direct from them and download, you get free automated updates for a year and then you just renew license or upgrade to newest versions and keep getting free automated updates.

go to : www.mcafee.com

or buy it at your local computer store

Most antivirus programs work perfectly well, if you keep them updated. If you don't want to pay a lot, then AVG and Avast are both free.

If you don't mind paying for antivirus, Trend Micro PC-Cillin can be downloaded on a 30-day free trial:
